How I Feel at this moment in my life

I fount this kid on cmykmag.com just browsing around trying to get off this 3 month hiatus and get my brain back to reality to start thinking what I'm going to do with my life, and I feel like I'm at crossroads. One way urging me to go back to the exciting uncertainty that is the world of art and the other that is telling me to go into the well crafted logical world of law. I think I've been grappling with this decision now for .... years... and to this day I am still clueless as to what to do. Patrick Kyle over here has pin pointed the path I need to take.

CARNEY FOOD just like AMERICAN PIE

from a design aesthetic these trailer driven pop up shops are so tacky and corny they're cute- are they not?! Just screaming for a fried twinky seems okay with all the fluorescent lights I thought for a moment was this a mini wonderland? Did I discover the las vegas of fried food!? Del mar fair why do you tempt me so?

BIOMIMICRY - VELCRO

Velcro, which has transformed outdoor sports and products, is one of the best known examples of biomimicry. Velcro was invented in 1948 by George de Mistral, an inventor and mountaineer. Returning from taking his dog for a walk he found he and his dog were covered with burrs- the hooked seed of the burdock. The tiny burdock hooks cling to anything they come in contact with and he saw the potential for a new kind of fastening. The success of this well-known ‘naturfact’ depended on the use of relatively new materials and combined nylon cloth with hooks to another with tiny hoops. Patented in 1955, it really took off when the American military experimented with it calling it the –zipper-less zip. The textile processes used to create Velcro were all well known and it was their combination which created the innovation.

NO FUTURA FOR YOU!

Wes Anderson does have a fancy way of putting things together on the screen so they look pretty, doesn't he? And I'm beginning to think that we see eye to eye on a few things. If you haven't noticed already Anderson has a slight obsession with the typeface FUTURA and I'm currently doing a research project on the font- soul sisters or what? OK ok probablly not really but it is a pretty font oh Paul Renner you know how to make em!
